Job Overview

Hey Tutor has partnered with a school district in Vallejo and we are looking to hire tutors who can assist TK-8th grade students during and after regular school hours. You will be actively supervising students as they catch up from learning gaps, and must be comfortable passing an in‑person background check. • Work with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff, preparing the area for tutoring, and may be responsible for picking up and dropping off students at designated school site areas.
• Take attendance and run lessons through the Hey Tutor Dashboard if applicable, document student progress, and facilitate baseline and summative assessments when requested by a manager.
• Lead a group of students in tutoring sessions using curriculum and materials provided by the program, creating an engaging environment that fosters belonging.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and engage with tutoring lessons alongside them.
• Daily clock in and out of Deputy for shifts and perform any other duties required by the company, manager, or school site.

• $25–$30 per hour. Pay depends on a combination of education and experience and will be determined at the time of interview.
• Attendance‑based pay incentives.

• Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day. 24 tutors needed during and after‑school hours.

• Completed an AA or higher, or currently enrolled in college/university.
• Experience tutoring and comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Clear FBI–DOJ background check.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred to assist bilingual students.
