Instructional Faculty Member
The Instructional Faculty member is associated with the Joint Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies/ Master of Public Health Program, in the College of Education and Health Sciences. Primary responsibilities include teaching and evaluating students. Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may change to meet departmental needs.
ResponsibilitiesDidactic Instructional Faculty:
- Work closely with the Director of Didactic Education or other PA Principal Faculty.
- Develop and deliver lecture and laboratory material content that meet course objectives.
- Develop and/or implement evaluation tools to assess the student's knowledge of course content as outlined in the course objectives.
- Provide remediation as needed for students with sub-standard performance
Clinical Instructional Faculty:
- Work closely with the Director of Clinical Education or other PA Principal Faculty.
- Work with PA students in the clinical setting, assigning appropriate patients
- Assess the knowledge, skills and attitudes of PA students
Both:
- Advise the program director and other appropriate individuals of any problems related to behavior, academics or professionalism.
· Current certification, licensure and terminal degree appropriate to the teaching responsibilities.
· Clinical experience and teaching experience is preferred.
