Position Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) | Psych
Location: Vallejo, CA
Agency: AMN Healthcare
Pay: $2,305 to $2,448 per week
Shift: Evenings - 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
ResponsibilitiesThe role involves providing psychiatric nursing care to patients in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. Responsibilities include assessing mental health status, performing nursing assessments, creating and updating care plans, administering medication and therapies, managing crisis situations, documenting patient care effectively, and educating patients and families.
Qualifications- Current California RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Certified in Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred
