Job DescriptionWe are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with ultrasound‑guided IV experience for full‑time vascular access positions. PICC line training is provided; prior PICC experience is not required. Opportunities are also available for experienced PICC RNs in both full‑time and per‑diem roles. Eligible for a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.
Responsibilities- Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance
- Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation
- Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices
- Provide a wide range of vascular access support services, including but not limited to port access, line removal, and declotting
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines, and other central vascular access devices
Consultants visit patients at various customer facilities and must be willing to travel. Full‑time scheduling requires three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in a holiday rotation. Part‑time (per diem) scheduling requires a minimum of four scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in a holiday rotation.
Training and Experience Requirements- Ideal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound‑guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions.
- Training is available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience.
- Priority is given to fully trained vascular access nurses; additional training is available for those with strong USGIV skills.
- Registered Nurse with a current license
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Experience placing ultrasound‑guided IVs (USGIVs)
- Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by the job classification
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites
- Must possess a smartphone
- Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience
- Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound
- Prior vascular access or PICC experience preferred
Hourly Pay Range: $50 USD–$70 USD (based on candidate experience and relevant certifications)
