Delivers direct and indirect care for individual patients or an assigned group of patients receiving psychiatric care under the direction of a Registered Nurse;
Uses de-escalation techniques and less restrictive interventions when providing nursing care;
Plans for meeting the daily care needs of assigned patients including evaluating problems, identifying symptoms and behavioral changes, obtaining and reviewing medical data, implementing interventions and evaluating outcomes;
Screens patient condition upon admission and identifies physical, emotional, social and cultural needs of patients;
Records observations of patient condition and informs oncoming shift staff per nursing policy
