- Support clinics through immediate response to adverse events and CMS surveys
- Complete safety snapshots and internal audits
- Coach teams on quality improvement plans and governance processes
- Provide onsite support for CMS surveys and other regulatory inspections
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Conduct deep-dive coaching and upskilling sessions for clinic team members
- Focus coaching on clinical drivers such as hospitalizations and patient safety concerns
- Attend and actively participate in meetings
- Coach struggling teams and visit facilities in person as needed
- Complete action plans with team members
- Collaborate with leadership to identify priority clinics not meeting goals
- Remove barriers to performance improvement through root cause analysis and coaching
- Provide clinical outlier support focused on hospitalizations and quality
- Leverage support from various clinical roles
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Clinical and prior leadership experience required: RN
- Education to commensurate with RN license
- Minimum 2 years nephrology experience
- Experience leading clinical function or managing nurses
- Experience in teaching adult learning with demonstrated ability to communicate technical/medical information in lay terms
- Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to create presentations and use the internet effectively
- Current license as RN
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance in the state of residence
- Regional travel up to 75% of the time
- Availability for evening and weekend work as needed
- On-site presence in facilities 3–4 days per week
- Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position
- Ability to lift 5 to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions
- Manual dexterity for specific equipment and ability to use a computer keyboard and peripherals
- Ability to differentiate colors on a test strip may be required
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in associated field - Preferred:
Experience in CQI methodology and techniques - Preferred:
Basic understanding of state and federal regulations and requirements - Preferred:
Current CPR certification - Preferred: CNN or CSN, Bonet Certification within 2 years of employment
Demonstrates strong clinical leadership and coaching abilities, with a focus on quality improvement and compliance in healthcare settings. Proficient in conducting audits, training teams, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
