We are currently recruiting for the Multi-Purpose Clerk
- Grocery (Night Crew) at 1740 Tuolomne, Vallejo, CA 94589.

The Multi-Purpose Clerk
- Night Crew is responsible for a variety of clerk positions and is cross‑trained and internally certified on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities include stocking grocery store shelves, pricing new items, offloading shipments, unwrapping, rotating and packing boxes during overnight shifts. Additional duties involve order writing, freshness/quality code checking, item‑to‑tag integrity, reporting risks or safety issues to management, maintaining proper temperatures in cases/coolers, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating the check stand, and ensuring a clean, safe work area.

• Receive, stock, display, price, and face products
• Break down loads, unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes
• Order writing and maintain item‑to‑tag integrity
• Report all risks or safety issues to management
• Ensure proper temperature in cases and coolers
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Minimal check of cash register
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work
• Operate forklift if authorized and certified
• Operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum:
Three months or equivalent experience.

Required:

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/training.

• Availability for a variety of retail hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays
• Availability for overnight shifts
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance; may lift up to 85 pounds on occasion
• Ability to carry up to 80 pounds on occasion
• Ability to push up to 85 pounds on occasion
• Ability to pull up to 92 pounds on occasion
• Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperature levels, including cold rooms and freezers
• Ability to operate tools such as step stool, carts, register, safety cutter, rolling ladder, food preparation equipment, ovens, warmers, food mixers, meat cutting instruments, pallet jacks, packaging components, and cleaning supplies
