Job Description and Position Requirements
Penn State Great Valley seeks part‑time instructors (non‑tenure track) in our technology and engineering programs. We are looking for professionals with substantial industry experience to teach in the following areas:
Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Information Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Engineering Management.
- Deliver high‑quality instruction in both online and in‑person formats.
- Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry trends and practices.
- Engage with students to provide mentorship and support for their academic and professional growth.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline preferred; candidates with a Master’s degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.
- Prior teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
- Demonstrated expertise and professional experience in the relevant field.
- Ability to teach in the late afternoons and evenings at the Great Valley campus in Malvern, PA, or online.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and technologies.
Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location. Candidates must be able to teach in late afternoons and evenings at the Great Valley campus in Malvern, PA, or online.
