Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise as a School Psychologist will make a profound difference in the lives of students. Two positions are available to support a dynamic educational environment for the 2026-27 school year. Based near Valparaiso, IN, this role offers a unique chance to work across multiple sites within Porter County, providing essential psychological services.

As a School Psychologist in this setting, your day will typically span 7 hours, with core hours between 7:45 am and 3:15 pm. While your home base will be at SELF school, your impact will be felt throughout the county as you travel to various sites to meet evolving student needs. Caseloads are variable and tailored to the districts’ requirements each year, ensuring meaningful and diverse professional experiences.

Qualifications:
  • Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, data analysis, and individualized educational planning
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and travel between schools within the county
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and assessments
  • Develop data-driven recommendations for student support strategies
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Implement interventions that promote student well-being and academic success
  • Advocate for student needs within the educational system
