Senior Transportation Engineer, PE

Overview

A&Z Engineering is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing office. We deliver roadway, trail, and utility infrastructure projects for INDOT and local municipalities across northwest Indiana. This role offers hybrid flexibility and the opportunity to play a meaningful part in community-focused design work.

Valparaiso, IN or Fort Wayne, IN

We’re looking for a motivated engineer with experience in roadway and infrastructure design. In this role, you will help develop plans, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and contribute to projects involving roadway improvements, trail design, drainage, and underground utilities.

You’ll support and grow into project management responsibilities, help keep schedules and budgets on track, and participate in a collaborative, team-first environment. Experience using Civil 3D or Micro Station is essential, along with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical, real-world solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in civil or transportation design
• PE license preferred or the ability to obtain within one year
• Experience with INDOT or municipal projects is a plus
• Proficiency with Civil 3D or Micro Station
