SMS group is seeking a Quality Specialist in Valparaiso, IN to lead the Disassemble, Inspect, and Advise (DIA) process on heavy blast furnace equipment. You will assess worn components, identify failure modes, and draft refurbishment recommendations while ensuring compliance with engineering specs, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
Travel within North America may be required. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and experience with heavy industrial fabrication are preferred;
