Engineering Manager

We’re seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function and shape the future of life‑saving product line. This isn’t a desk‑bound leadership role — you’ll be deep in the CAD software, at the prototype bench, and on the testing floor, while also setting the technical direction for the team and directing outside vendors and contractors.

Reporting directly to the President, you’ll have real autonomy over how projects get prioritized and executed.

What you’ll do:

• Own mechanical design and product development from concept to launch
• Lead new product iterations that improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Build and test prototypes, then translate results into real design improvements
• Manage engineering documentation, BOMs, and revision control
• Partner with contract manufacturers and outside engineering resources as needed
• Work cross‑functionally with assembly, quality, purchasing, and sales
• Support customers and sales with technical expertise
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers

Keys to the opportunity:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• 5+ years of mechanical design/product development experience
• Track record of taking products from design through prototyping, testing, and iteration
• Familiarity with DFMA, FMEA, DOE, and BOM/MOM development
• A self‑starter mentality — comfortable with autonomy and accountability
