incumbent serves as a production manager for memorial opera house, responsible for supporting the production and operational needs of main stage productions from early planning through closing. This position works collaboratively with the venue director, technical director, event & venue coordinator, and production teams to assist with production coordination, scheduling, rehearsals, performances, load‑ins, and strikes, while providing hands‑on support for venue operations, including rentals, special events, facility preparation, equipment organization, and setup and teardown needs.

supports the coordination and execution of memorial opera house main stage productions from pre‑production through closing.

coordinates production meetings, schedules, deadlines, documentation, and communication among staff and production personnel.

assists with the recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, and coordination of directors, designers, stage managers, and other production personnel.

supports rehearsals and performances, including load‑ins, technical rehearsals, backstage operations, strikes, and load‑outs.

assists production departments with scenery, props, costumes, lighting, sound, equipment, supplies, and other production needs as directed.

assists with the preparation and execution of rentals, concerts, special events, meetings, and other venue activities.

performs event and facility setup and teardown, including moving and organizing furniture, equipment, supplies, signage, and production materials.

assists with general facility operations, organization, inventory, light maintenance, and minor facility projects within the employee's training and abilities.

identifies and communicates production, facility, scheduling, logistical, and safety concerns to appropriate staff.

executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately.

maintains a clean and safe environment.

attend scheduled staff meetings as assigned.

perform other related duties as assigned.

must be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license.

ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and effectively multi‑task and handle changing priorities while maintaining friendliness and professionalism.

ability to comply with all employer and department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug‑free workplace, and personal conduct.

working knowledge of theatre production, arts administration, event management, venue operations, hospitality, or a related field preferred.

familiarity with theatrical production processes, terminology, and backstage operations preferred.

strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.

ability to communicate and work professionally with staff, artists, volunteers, contractors, renters, applicants, patrons, and the general public.

ability to work effectively in both administrative and hands‑on production and facility environments.

ability to perform a variety of physical tasks associated with productions, events, setup, teardown, and general facility operations.

ability to work a flexible part‑time schedule, including evenings and weekends as required by productions and events.
