Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview

Manages maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers, liftgates, yard trucks, and refrigeration units to ensure safe and efficient fleet operations. Ensures compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company policies. Leads a team of mechanics, overseeing work quality, safety, and productivity standards.

• Maintenance Management:
  Oversees daily work orders, manages repairs, handles breakdowns, accidents, and hazardous waste clean-up. Maintains repair facility sanitation and manages department budgets and costs.
• Safety & Compliance:
  Conducts regular safety audits, ensures compliance with safety standards, and schedules preventive maintenance.
• Team Leadership:
  Coaches, develops, and reviews mechanics, supports training, and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements. Maintains vendor relationships and parts inventory accuracy.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least five years of fleet maintenance experience, including refrigeration units.
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and fleet maintenance software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop mechanic skills through audits.
• Preferred certifications include refrigerant handling licenses.

• Ability to work in extreme weather, noise, heights, and tight spaces.
• Capable of long periods of walking, standing, bending, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Support operations as needed, with physical endurance for demanding tasks.
