Summary
This position is primarily responsible for receiving products, preparing products for shipment, staging material in their correct areas and scheduling transportation to the customer. Any additional transportation requirements will also be handled by this position as well. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining and organizing the inventory of service parts and assigning inventory items to correct bin locations and work orders for job completion.

What You'll Do- Responsible for contracting, coordinating, and supervising inbound and outbound material shipments.
- Receive inbound shipments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Accountable for the organization of storage, WIP and inventory areas according to production and shipping needs.
- Operate material handling equipment to achieve the daily tasks.
- Coordinate transportation from the warehouse to SMS customers.
- Package parts appropriately for shipping (i.e., boxes, skids and crates).
- Provide documentation for outbound shipments and complete appropriate forms to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Resolving any additional issues as they arise with the appropriate SMS personnel.
- Maintain an organized layout and safe work environment.
- Adhere to safety rules.
- All other tasks as assigned.
- Two years of receiving experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of and proficient in Incoterms 2020
- Two (2) years of working experience with 3rd party logistics providers.
- UPS and Fed Ex logistics use and knowledge.
- MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Experience using an ERP system, (SAP S3 or SAP Pro4 Hana experience a plus)
- Ability to write routine correspondence and reports.
- Ability to speak effectively to vendors or employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Excellent time management abilities;
Ability to multi-task to handle multiple assignments and job requirements at one time. - Data entry and documentation skills
- Capable of working in an industrial environment.
- Forklift experience preferred
Self-motivated, result oriented and dependable person with exceptional organizational skills.
