Job Summary
The General Laborer is responsible for general assistance in and around the production areas. The General Laborer assists in the set-up and preparations necessary in order to start up and maintain the running of production equipment. You'll be cross-trained in different departments to help increase efficiency to help in all areas of production.
Shifts available: M-F, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm OR 7:00 pm to 7:00 am OT as needed/weekends
Essential Functions:
- Locate and transport raw materials to the production machines
- Load raw materials into machines
- Collect and properly dispose of all scrap from the machines
- Train to be a machine operator
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment
- Must be flexible as work orders and pace can change day-to-day
- Ability to multi-task
- Possesses basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
