Job Description

This role focuses on assembling mechanical attachments and products in a manufacturing environment, following detailed work instructions and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will prepare jobs for assembly, inspect parts, perform sub-assembly and final assembly work, and ensure products meet quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to stand for extended periods, and safely lift heavy components while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

• Assemble mechanical attachments, sub-assemblies, and finished goods according to written work instructions and production requirements.
• Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
• Utilize hand and power tools, including presses, drill machines, testing fixtures, and assembly fixtures, to complete assigned tasks.
• Visually inspect parts prior to assembly to identify defects, damage, or inconsistencies and ensure only acceptable components are used.
• Set up and prepare jobs for assembly, including organizing tools, materials, and documentation needed for each work order.
• Check part availability using a computer system and retrieve required components from inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
• Apply materials such as Loctite, grease, epoxy, and other specified substances in accordance with work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Assemble products that require special handling instructions, ensuring all unique specifications and precautions are followed.
• Thoroughly clean and prepare product surfaces for labeling using acetone and other approved cleaning methods.
• Apply proper labeling to products, following placement, content, and identification standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing trash, wiping down table tops, and keeping floors clear and safe.
• Rework failed or nonconforming products as necessary, following guidance and procedures to bring them up to standard.
• Stand for extended periods, typically 8 or more hours per shift, while performing assembly and related tasks.
• Lift and move components and products weighing 50 pounds or more in a safe and controlled manner.
• Participate in required daily overtime of approximately 2 hours, scheduling this time before or after the regular shift based on preference.
• Support occasional weekend work, typically on Saturdays at the end of the month, when requested.
• Complete initial training over approximately 1–3 weeks to learn assembly processes, tools, and quality expectations.
• Consistently follow safety guidelines, including appropriate footwear and attire, to maintain a safe working environment.

• Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail to follow instructions accurately and identify issues with parts or assemblies.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly and safely during the workday.
• Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per shift while performing assembly work.
• Comfort working with mechanical assemblies and production processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills to check part availability and navigate inventory systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.
• Willingness to work required daily overtime of approximately 2 hours and occasional weekend hours when needed.

• Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical assembly experience, including working with fixtures, presses, and drill machines.
• Experience in production assembly or manufacturing operations.
