Inventory Crew Member - NW Indiana

Overview

Meijer is a family-owned retailer with a long history and multiple opportunities for career growth. This role focuses on inventory accuracy in our retail units and delivering reliable counts to support store operations and customer service.

• Work independently to physically count merchandise in stores, scan UPC codes, and enter counts on a handheld computer.
• Deliver exceptional service to customers and interact effectively with store team members using strong communication skills.
• Maintain high accuracy and efficiency; daily progress toward goals is tracked with regular feedback.
• Exercise good judgment and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Participate in other auditing projects as opportunities arise to keep leadership informed on store conditions and performance.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Knowledge of general business math and bookkeeping
• Six months to one year of job training and experience
• Strong mental and visual ability to perform counts
• Physical ability to stand and walk at least 95% of the time
• Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move objects between 10 and 50 lbs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week. Most Fridays, nights, weekends, and major holidays off where applicable.
