Join an industry-leading utility construction firm with over 95 years of experience providing critical infrastructure construction and maintenance services for the power, oil & gas pipeline, gas distribution, and communication markets throughout North America.
- Safety Compliance: Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and utilize appropriate safety equipment at all times.
- Cable Installation: Install and relocate aerial and underground cables, including fiber optic, transportation, distribution, and drop cables, ensuring industry standards and technical reliability are met.
- Crew Support: Provide comprehensive support for line crews during all phases of construction activity.
- Equipment Operation: Operate digger derrick trucks for pole setting, pole transfers, anchor installation, and aerial construction support.

Experience:
Hands‑on experience operating digger derrick trucks specifically in utility or telecom construction. - Technical
Skills:
Ability to climb poles to cable height using pole climber gaffs. - Licensing: Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL Class A.
- Communication: Must be able to speak the English language fluently and clearly.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (with subsequent random testing) and a customer-driven background check.
- Certification: Completion of a pre‑employment, on‑site certification to demonstrate the ability to perform duties to the satisfaction of construction supervision.
- Physical Demand: This role is physically demanding and requires significant manual labor, including walking on uneven ground and working in tight spaces.
- Lifting Requirements: Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and infrequent lifting of up to 100 pounds.
- Schedule: Ability to work up to 6 days per week in an all-weather environment.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel throughout multiple work sites as required.
- Industry
Experience:
2+ years of experience as a lineman. - Safety Knowledge: Proven ability to detect power space violations and identify safety issues.
