Morgan Distributing, Inc. is an Exxon Mobil Lubricant Distributor headquartered in Decatur, Illinois with 3 additional locations in Fairfield, Illinois, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Valparaiso, Indiana.
We are currently seeking a Hybrid Driver with a CDL Class A for our Valparaiso, IN location.
The CDL Class A Transport & Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of bulk lubricants and packaged petroleum products between supplier facilities, company branches, and customer locations.
The primary function of this position is to operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations, including bulk tanker and dry van trailers, for supplier pickups, branch transfers, and other transport assignments.
The driver will also provide operational coverage as needed by operating Class B straight trucks, including bulk tank trucks and packaged-product delivery vehicles, on customer delivery routes.
This position requires a safety-focused professional driver with experience operating commercial motor vehicles, handling bulk and packaged lubricant products, completing DOT-required documentation, and maintaining accurate product and delivery records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations, including bulk tanker and dry van equipment, to transport bulk lubricants and packaged products between supplier facilities, company branches, and customer locations.
- Pick up products from designated supplier facilities, including Exxon Mobil locations in Cicero and Monee and Morgan Distributing’s Decatur facility.
- Perform scheduled and as-needed inter-branch transfers of bulk and packaged products.
- Load, transport, and unload bulk lubricant shipments in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload packaged lubricant products utilizing proper cargo securement procedures.
- Operate Class B straight trucks and tank trucks on customer delivery routes as needed to support branch operations and customer service requirements.
- Deliver bulk lubricants directly into customer storage tanks using pumps, hoses, meters, and associated delivery equipment.
- Verify correct product, quantity, tank identification, and available tank capacity prior to initiating bulk product transfer.
- Monitor gauges, meters, hoses, connections, and product flow throughout loading and unloading operations.
- Perform packaged-product deliveries utilizing pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other approved material-handling equipment as applicable.
- Transfer products from drums, totes, and other containers into customer tanks or containers when required.
- Complete all delivery documentation accurately, including electronic delivery records, quantities delivered, customer signatures, bills of lading, transfer documentation, and other required paperwork.
- Perform required pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) as required.
- Immediately report vehicle or equipment defects, leaks, spills, mechanical concerns, accidents, or unsafe operating conditions to management.
