Production Manager
Role Purpose
The Manufacturing & Production Shift Supervisor serves as a key link between the plant operation areas, the maintenance group, and plant management to ensure the most appropriate resources are engaged in problem resolution and the operation areas are meeting safety, quality, training, and production goals.

Each team member is expected to support the Tate & Lyle culture where Environment, Health, Food Safety and Quality comply with all EHSQ policies, procedures, and regulations relevant to their work.
All employees are responsible for compliance with procedures, reporting incidents, hazards, and suggesting improvements to strengthen our workplace safety and prevent serious injury or loss of life.
Main Responsibilities- Ensures the team operates and communicates in a safe manner.
- Assigns daily tasks to team members.
- Communicates effectively with management and all team members.
- Writes and trains on various permit systems.
- Operates and trains employees on matrix and skill blocks to achieve next progression level.
- Maintains boiler operator and waste treatment licenses annually.
- Operates and trains employees on mechanical equipment.
- Oversees and coordinates with team members on daily activities and ensures job tasks are completed.
- Participates in management meetings to discuss matrix improvements.
- Assists team in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions/problems.
- Provides coverage for other Manufacturing & Production Shift Supervisors while they are on vacation or absent.
- Provides daily shift reports.
- Performs established shift supervisor signoffs and verifications.
- Performs periodic inventory reviews for various areas.
- Attends required meetings with management.
- Supports team members in daily tasks, functions, and provides adequate resources and guidance.
- Reviews and follows Non‑GMO policies and procedures.
Must be free from any performance improvement plans and fully qualified in all process areas within the plant.
