BIB Packager / Assistant Operator

This position is in the Bag in Box / Pail Fill department and reports to the Department Supervisor. It is a second shift role from 3:00pm to 11:30pm with overtime required based on production need. The hourly rate is $17.50.

The BIB Packager / Assistant Operator assists the machine operator by coordinating on production needs, relieving for breaks, and training and managing other packers on the line. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates with the operator to see what products are running, set boxes, and setting up lines.
  • Manage packers on the line while also working the line.
  • Teach new packers.
  • Help other packers complete shops for the day.
  • Perform and complete LUV label returns and teach new packers how to use the system
  • Assist other packers with issues in Pallet Tracking.
  • Operate a pallet jack and train new employees on how to use it.
  • Know how to work the machine and run it when the operator is gone and/or to help rotate for breaks and lunches if needed.
  • Assist in Thermal Rooms as required (PT I duties).

Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical

Skills:
