Position Summary
As a Realty Project Coach, you will join the Realty Execution team for Walmart US and be responsible for delivering store and club remodels, new store openings, club openings, and special projects across the US. You must ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the company’s quality standards. The role involves supervising hourly team members, handling escalations, and collaborating with store leadership.
Frequent travel across the US is required.
- Own the execution of projects in assigned stores, including remodeling, new store openings, and club openings.
- Communicate project plans, changes, and obstacles to stakeholders.
- Monitor and minimize impact on store operations.
- Motivate and supervise team members, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities, including training, mentorship, recognition, and career path identification.
- Resolve issues with store leadership, suppliers, and associates.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 1 year of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area; OR 3 years of experience in the same areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction remodels, project management, space management, and/or store design.
- Experience leading projects, initiatives, and cross‑functional teams.
- Preferred:
Master’s degree in business or related field. - Preferred: 1 year’s experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Preferred:
Project Management Professional certification.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel up to 1000 miles, often for 17‑21 days per engagement, with an average of 80% of time away from home.
- Will work primarily overnight shifts averaging 10‑12 hours.
- Must complete required job training and assessments.
Annual salary range: $60,000 – $110,000. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Stock may also be offered.
