The City of Van Buren Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Property Technician
.

The starting salary for this position is $48,194.16 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

After one year of employment, the selected candidate will also be eligible for:

• Longevity pay
• College incentive pay of up to $1,500 annually
• Secondary language incentive pay of up to $900 annually

• Hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Have no disqualifying criminal convictions.

Applicants will be required to successfully pass an interview, background investigation, integrity interview, drug test, and a truth verification test. Applicants receiving a conditional offer of employment must successfully complete a medical examination performed by a licensed physician selected by the Chief of Police. The examining physician will provide the Chief of Police with a summary report indicating whether the applicant is capable of performing the essential duties of the position and identifying any work restrictions or accommodation that may be necessary.
