The Forklift Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based in Van Buren, AR. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing forklifts and related material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drive components. The mechanic will perform routine and preventive maintenance, complete service reports, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical issues, ordering and installing parts, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and communicating clearly with supervisors and customers about repair status and recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on forklifts and similar equipment.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and equipment servicing in a shop or industrial setting.
  • Skill in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and service manuals safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to workplace safety procedures.
  • Effective communication skills for documenting work orders and interacting with team members and customers.
  • Prior experience as a forklift or heavy equipment mechanic is preferred; relevant technical or vocational training is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site full time, lift moderate to heavy loads as needed, and stand or move for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred; forklift operator certification is a plus.
