Overview
A top system integrator in the area is looking for a Controls Engineering Manager to lead project delivery and mentor a team of engineers across industrial automation projects. The role is key to driving technical excellence, managing client relationships, and scaling engineering capability.
Location:
Van Wert, OH – Hybrid.
- Lead and develop a team of controls engineers and designers.
- Oversee project execution from design through commissioning.
- Act as the senior technical point of contact for clients.
- Review PLC/HMI/SCADA designs and ensure quality standards.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes.
- 7‑15+ years in controls/automation engineering.
- Strong PLC experience (Allen‑Bradley preferred).
- Proven leadership or project management experience.
- Background in system integration or custom automation.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (Factory Talk, Ignition, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client stakeholders.
- Leadership role with a clear growth trajectory.
- Strong project pipeline across multiple industries.
- High‑impact position with autonomy and visibility.
