Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Part-Time

Position Overview

Van Wert Physical Therapy is a growing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic committed to providing exceptional, personalized care to our community. As our patient base continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part‑time basis with a clear pathway toward a full‑time position.

This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working in an outpatient setting, building relationships with patients, and contributing to a positive clinic culture. The role will begin at a minimum of 12 hours per week, with a strong opportunity for increased hours and eventual transition into a full‑time position as clinic growth continues.

Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist.
  • Document patient treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Educate patients on exercises, recovery strategies, and injury prevention.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and patient‑centered environment.
  • Assist with clinic operations and teamwork initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current PTA license (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Ohio.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the therapy team.
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
