Position Overview
Van Wert Physical Therapy is a growing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic committed to providing exceptional, personalized care to our community. As our patient base continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part‑time basis with a clear pathway toward a full‑time position.
This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working in an outpatient setting, building relationships with patients, and contributing to a positive clinic culture. The role will begin at a minimum of 12 hours per week, with a strong opportunity for increased hours and eventual transition into a full‑time position as clinic growth continues.
Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist.
- Document patient treatments accurately and efficiently.
- Educate patients on exercises, recovery strategies, and injury prevention.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and patient‑centered environment.
- Assist with clinic operations and teamwork initiatives as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current PTA license (or eligibility for licensure) in the State of Ohio.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the therapy team.
- Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but not required.
- Passion for helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
- Part‑Time Position
