Part- Time Custodian

Part‑Time Custodian – Tekni Plex, Van Wert, OH.

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing and sanitizing floors, restrooms, and common areas.
• Washing walls and cleaning glass partitions, mirrors, and removing rubbish.
• Emptying and cleaning breakroom coolers.
• Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Using and maintaining cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other specialized machinery.
• Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Deep cleaning and disinfecting breakrooms, restrooms, and high‑touch areas regularly.
• Ensuring restrooms and cleaning stations are adequately stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves).
• Cleaning spills using a sweeper, shovel, or other equipment as necessary.
• Monitoring cleaning supply inventory and reporting low stock to appropriate personnel.
• Ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards.
• Additional tasks as needed.

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Must be able to operate a floor scrubber and basic cleaning equipment.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay on task.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace cleanliness.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail‑focused.

• Production facility with loud machinery and varying temperatures.

• Rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
• 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. (56 hours per pay‑period).
