Summary of Responsibilities
This position will work with the EHS Manager and Leadership team at the Braun manufacturing plant to aid in the development and implementation of policies, documents and tasks associated with OSHA, EPA and Industrial Hygiene practices or regulations. This position will interface with managers as well as team members on the production floor to ensure that all company policies are followed, provide interpretation on EHS regulations, and conduct regulatory sampling.
This position will take ownership of some compliance related tasks and programs as they relate to OSHA and EPA.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or three (3) to five (5) years related experience.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
Must have working and fundamental knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA waste regulations
Familiar with 5S and basic lean manufacturing programs and experience with MS Office is required; proficiency in Excel
Demonstrated skills in database management and comfortable working on a computer
Valid driver’s license
Effective oral and written communication; confident in interactions across all facets of a production workforce.
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail
Must be driven, results oriented, and able to self-start and self-motivate
Must be able to work independently, but also lead a team to complete a goal or task.

Successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter
Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance, regularly require to walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stoop or crawl
