Position: Float Nurse Practitioner or Float Physician Assistant - Part Time with benefits

Position Overview

Float Nurse Practitioner – Part‑time, 24 hours per week (three 8‑hour days). The role requires availability to cover shifts for absent teammates and fill position vacancies on short notice. Travel to various locations within the state or region may be necessary; flexibility to work at multiple settings is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Practice relationship‑based medicine at the top of your license, delivering holistic care that includes prevention, chronic disease management, and health education.
  • Use resources such as Up To Date  and Rubicon

    MD, provided free of charge.
  • Remain flexible with scheduling to cover absent teammates and open slots as needed.
  • Travel to cover shifts at multiple locations and adapt to diverse work environments.
  • Collaborate with different teams across settings to ensure continuity of work processes, procedures, and consistent follow‑through or transition of tasks.
Minimum

Job Requirements – Nurse Practitioner
  • Active license and current ANCC or AANP board certification.
  • Independent practice provider preferred, where applicable per State regulation.
  • Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing ability.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start.
  • Independent family practice experience—including routine wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visits—preferred.
Minimum

  • Independent practice provider preferred, where applicable per State regulation.
  • Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing ability.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of start.
  • Independent family practice experience—including routine wellness care, chronic care management, and urgent visits—preferred.
Compensation and Sign‑On Bonus

$57.00–$74.00 per hour. Eligible for a $2,500 sign‑on bonus. Pay may vary based on geographic location and candidate’s experience and skill level.
