Location: Van Wert, OH
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
Schedule:1st Shift (Must be willing to check in on other shifts as needed)

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Quality, Manufacturing, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Training or certifications related to Quality Management Systems, HACCP, Metrology, or Continuous Improvement are a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in plastics and/or food manufacturing.
  • Experience leading or mentoring quality teams.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, food safety programs, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with calibration systems, metrology, laboratory testing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Proficiency with Excel, ERP systems, quality software, and technical reporting.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to work on the production floor in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of conducting inspections, audits, and quality verification activities throughout the facility.
  • Able to move between production, laboratory, warehouse, and office areas as needed.

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise Quality Operators while promoting quality, safety, and food safety culture.
  • Support certification audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance activities.
  • Participate as a member of the HACCP team and execute food safety and food defense programs.
  • Manage calibration schedules, equipment verification, metrology records, and compliance documentation.
  • Train new employees on quality procedures, best practices, and operational standards.
  • Oversee product inspections, raw material verification, testing activities, and product approvals.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor SPC data, analyze quality trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain quality records, procedures, and testing methods to ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.
