Function:
To oversee and manage the overall operations of the Corps thrift store, including supervising staff and volunteers, employee evaluations for paid staff, receiving and receipting in-kind donations, managing cash funds and deposits, overseeing the thrift store's social media page, and presenting at monthly advisory board meetings.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good customer relations and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
- Manage sorting, sizing, pricing, and hanging of donated clothing items.
- Manage sorting and pricing of other in-kind donations and coordinate sales.
- Oversee ragging of unsellable clothing items.
- Oversee receiving and sorting of other unsellable in-kind donations.
- Attend all required meetings and conferences.
- Ensure the facility is clean and presentable.
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the advisory board.
- Manage store cash register operations and train new employees.
- Perform any other job-related activities as deemed necessary by the corps officer(s).
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Retail experience
