The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that generate new business while maintaining strong relationships with clients, developers, architects, engineers, and community partners. This position works closely with our Preconstruction, Estimating, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from opportunity to project execution.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and growth goals.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial and industrial construction opportunities.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with owners, developers, municipalities, architects, engineers, and industry partners.
- Represent Alexander & Bebout at networking events, trade organizations, and community functions.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and project discovery discussions.
- Collaborate with Preconstruction to develop proposals, budgets, and conceptual project solutions.
- Maintain an active pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasting using CRM tools.
- Work with Marketing to support branding, campaigns, and lead generation initiatives.
- Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
- Commercial construction or design‑build sales experience.
- Knowledge of Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana commercial markets.
- Existing network of owners, developers, municipalities, architects, and engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within commercial construction, design‑build, or related industries.
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
- Ability to understand construction concepts, project delivery methods, and estimating processes.
- Self‑motivated with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
