Leland Smith Insurance Services (LSI) is looking for a Commercial Insurance Risk Advisor to join our growing team and help protect businesses throughout Northwest Ohio, Northeast Indiana, and the surrounding region from financial risk.

We are an independent, locally owned insurance agency built on relationships, integrity, and doing what is right for our clients. We believe insurance is not just about selling policies—it’s about understanding people, protecting what they’ve built, and being there when life doesn’t go according to plan.

• Strong communication skills and the confidence to meet with business owners
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable creating your own opportunities
• Competitive mindset with a desire to achieve goals and earn based on performance
• Ability to network within the Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana business community.
• Strong follow-through and attention to detail
• Previous commercial insurance experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with proven sales ability and a passion for helping others

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and community leaders throughout Northwest Ohio and Northeast Indiana.
• Identify and develop new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community involvement.
• Meet with business owners to understand their operations, challenges, and insurance needs.
• Create customized insurance solutions that protect clients’ businesses and assets.
• Collaborate with our experienced service team and insurance carriers to deliver exceptional client experiences.
• Manage the sales process from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and binding coverage.
• Become a trusted advisor—not just another insurance salesperson.
