Location: Van Wert, OH
Summary of ResponsibilitiesPrepare the OEM chassis for mounting with the module by installing the Braun electrical harness, installing the auxiliary lines for the A/C and heating unit, and installing other various options.
Summary of Activities- Receive, review and interpret instructions, prints and work orders for each unit
- Verification and inspection of assemblies
- Use machine and hand tools and running the plasma cutter and cutting torch
- Cut, form and install components and install material within the vehicle
- Installation of:
Intersection, grill, flashing lights, harness system, heater, AC lines, siren speakers, ignition solenoid, AC, grill switches, sway bar, grill guards and after market bumpers - Installation of:
Alternator grounds, neutral safety, security systems, door locks and suspension systems - Disassembly of chassis cab interior
- Disconnection of chassis computer and battery cable preparation
- Route air lines and mount tanks
- Mount tanks if applicable
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with small machinery, power, air and hand tools; and tape measure
- Knowledge and experience with automotive servicing and/or repair
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics
- High communication with Mount and Module Wire Operators
Physical Requirements
- Complete all work as detailed in the summary of responsibilities of this position profile at acceptable productivity and quality levels
- Demonstrate all technical skills/competencies and core skills as referenced in this job specification at acceptable productivity and quality levels
- Demonstrate reasonable and reliable attendance
- Maintain any required licensures and/or certifications
- Operate all job-related equipment or machines at acceptable productivity and quality levels
- Successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance, regularly require to walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stoop or crawl
