People and Culture Assistant
Culture Conductor
You’re the kind of person who can coordinate six flights, three hotel bookings, two airport pickups, and one executive’s “quick little change” — all before your second coffee. You remember birthdays. You notice when someone’s energy is off. And when chaos starts creeping in? You don’t panic. You open another tab and handle it.
People & Culture Assistant– Role Overview
We’re looking for someone who loves organizing travel, coordinating team events, and keeping behind‑the‑scenes details running smoothly so our team can do their best work.
Beyond travel, you’ll own onboarding experiences, employee communications, leave tracking, handbook updates, and support for OH&S initiatives. You’ll build and improve systems, document SOPs, and keep processes documented so everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
What This Job Might Be For You- Passport full of experience. You’re well‑travelled and understand the nuances of navigating airlines, layovers, customs, immigration, transportation logistics, and scheduling complexities. You coordinate efficient, cost‑conscious, and low‑stress travel for all involved.
- Human‑first mindset. You’re emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and people‑smart. You communicate professionally with executives, teammates, vendors, and new hires, knowing when to be warm, direct, or simply listen.
- Sixth sense for organization. Messy calendars and outdated documents don’t hold you back. You build systems, maintain structure, and improve processes with operational excellence.
- Talent for making people feel taken care of. You care about creating a workplace where people feel welcomed, connected, and appreciated – through thoughtful onboarding, birthdays, and enjoyable team‑building events.
- Operational horsepower. You’re proactive, follow up, and communicate clearly, taking ownership of projects like onboarding administration, employee communications, leave tracking, handbook updates, and OH&S initiatives.
- Allergy to dropped balls. You double‑check bookings and track deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism so people feel calm and confident you handle things properly.
- Builder mentality. You don’t just maintain systems; you refine workflows, document SOPs, and help teams operate more efficiently.
- Humility – you put the team and others’ needs ahead of your own.
- Hungry to learn more.
- People‑smart – you’re a great teammate.
We believe in rewarding top talent and offer above‑market pay for the right person.
- Monthly team events and activities
- Flexible Stat Holidays with the option to bank days for later use
- Weekly team lunches
- Casual dress code
- Dog friendly, Yaletown office one block from Sky Train
- And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave.
