Job Summary  The Team:

The Role:

As a Court Clerk, you support the effective administration of justice by coordinating court operations, managing records and exhibits, and facilitating courtroom proceedings. You ensure procedural compliance, maintain accurate court information, and contribute to staff development through training and mentorship. The role also supports equitable access to justice by providing clear, respectful, and inclusive service to court users from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
Responsibilities

• Facilitate courtroom proceedings and ensure procedural compliance.
• Maintain accurate court information and support staff development through training and mentorship.
• Provide clear, respectful, and inclusive service to court users from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.

Education and Experience Requirements   Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
Minimum of two (2) years’ administrative support or customer service experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of one (1) year work experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and working with standard computer applications and software programs (e.g., Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
Keyboard speed of 40 words per minute.
Valid B.C. drivers’ licence.

Preferred Qualifications   Experience in court programmes and applications (e.g., JUSTIN, CEIS, ARC, CTAS, CCD).
Experience as a Court Clerk and/or Registry Clerk.
One (1) year of work experience in a legal environment.
Provisions   May be required to work a flexible schedule, including varied shifts and overtime on short notice.
May be required to travel, including travel in adverse weather conditions and work in other geographical areas, including circuit court locations. Must have reliable transportation and/or be willing to travel with others.
Additional Information  Contact:  Position is part time (0.6

FTE, 42hours biweekly) temporary opportunity until April
282028. This position may be extended or become permanent. Full‑time on‑site requirements apply. Enhanced Security Screening will be required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
