Law Office Manager
Scion Law LLP is a boutique firm located in downtown Vancouver, specializing in tax, trust, estate planning and administration, as well as estate litigation and family law. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Law Office Manager to join our growing team.
Responsibilities- Primary contact for lawyers, staff and service providers regarding firm operations
- Managing office equipment, facilities, software and supplies, including communicating with the firm’s vendors and service providers
- Handling all building related issues, including access to building and offices, office maintenance, and communicating building announcements to all firm members
- Overseeing and monitoring the firm’s general and trust accounts, including attending to bank reconciliations, reporting requirements, audits, and ensuring ongoing compliance with trust accounting rules and fraud prevention protocols
- Handling receivables and payables and online transactions including accounting system data entry
- Handling general inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and couriers
- Opening and closing client files and maintain an up-to-date filing system
- Overseeing firm software and technology, including setting up hardware, creating accounts and working with vendors to resolve any issues
- Following up on accounts receivable and collections
- Tracking human resources and administration, including scheduling vacation, tracking sick days and reimbursement of expenses
- At least three to five years of experience in a legal or administrative role
- Human Resources, operations, and/or office management experience or training preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
- Superb organizational skills

- Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM on-site work schedule
- Competitive compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 with health benefits. Salary will be discussed and negotiated based on experience.
