POSITION SUMMARY
:
Committed to premier-level customer service excellence, the Receptionist is the first point of contact for in-person or call-in visitors to Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) and the Aquilini Centre West Tower. This is a busy reception area welcoming visitors and callers from the general public, internal and external clients, customers, and VIP and high profile guests. In addition to switchboard and reception coverage, the incumbent will provide administrative support for CSE’s Event Services Team.
This is a term role until the end of September 2026, with possibility of extension.
This role will focus on:
Acting as first point of contact at Aquilini Centre West Tower, 89 West Georgia Reception, including attending to all visitors and callers and providing a welcoming and professional experience both over the phone and face to faceManaging the Rogers Arena tour calendar, bookings, and staff scheduling to ensure the Arena Tours operate efficientlySupporting with Fan Services email and phone enquiries through various platformsAnswering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls to a busy switchboard in a courteous and efficient manner, and accurately relaying messages when applicableArranging for and coordinating incoming and outgoing couriersAdministering break and vacation coverage within the CSE intern programDistributing daily cafeteria menu to building tenantsAdministering the Reception email account, responding to inquiries as requiredMaintaining an organized filing system and database of important contactsProviding administrative support as requiredYOU HAVE:
At least two years of administrative and professional reception experienceAbility to work independently and be self-sufficientAbility to relate professionally to all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIPs with a high level of maturity, diplomacy, and a positive cheerful demeanorExperience dealing with high-profile guests and the ability to maintain confidentialityProfessional personal presentationSolid working knowledge of MS OfficeExcellent communication skills and telephone etiquetteAbility to handle the pressure of a busy reception area and maintain professionalism with a solutions-focused approachStrong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize assigned dutiesOngoing and proactive ability to learn new skills and to stay plugged into the Canucks conversation and happenings at Rogers ArenaA strong understanding of and commitment to uphold our company values of discipline, respect, excellent, attitude, and mindset (DREAM)Vancouver is one of the most diverse cities in the world and Canucks Sports & Entertainment strives to create a workforce that is inclusive, equitable, and represents our beautiful, unique community.
