Role Overview  The Coordinator, Business Intelligence plays a key role in supporting the Foundation's fundraising operations through the accurate processing of donations, maintenance of donor data, and coordination of business intelligence and reporting activities. This position contributes to data integrity, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making by ensuring the timely administration of donor information, preparing reports, supporting continuous process improvements, and providing administrative support to the Business Intelligence team.

Working collaboratively across departments, the Coordinator helps ensure the Foundation's systems, data, and processes effectively support fundraising and organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities   Coordinate the timely and accurate processing of charitable donations, including cash, cheques, credit cards, and other gift types within Raiser's Edge.
Prepare, balance, and reconcile gift batches to support accurate financial processing and reporting.
Maintain the integrity of donor information by ensuring records are accurate, complete, and up to date in the donor database.
Prepare donations for deposit and support reconciliation activities in accordance with established internal controls and procedures.
Generate and distribute charitable tax receipts in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Support the processing of digital transactions and related data administration activities.
Assist with donor database administration, including routine maintenance, data updates, and system support.
Coordinate the preparation of routine reports and data extracts to support fundraising, finance, and operational decision-making.
Contribute to process documentation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
Provide administrative support, including managing incoming mail, preparing meeting materials, recording meeting minutes, processing expense reports, filing, scanning, and responding to general inquiries.
Collaborate with colleagues across the Foundation to support business intelligence, donor services, and operational priorities.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience   Successful completion of a post-secondary program in business administration, information systems, data analytics, accounting, finance, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
A minimum of 2–4 years of progressive experience in data administration, business operations, donor services, finance, reporting, business intelligence, or a related role.
Experience maintaining databases and ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality in a complex business environment is required.
Working knowledge of donor management or customer relationship management (CRM) systems, preferably Raiser's Edge, is considered an asset.
Experience preparing reports, reconciling data, and supporting operational or financial processes is considered an asset.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, as well as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.

Experience with reporting and data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Raiser's Edge NXT reporting, is considered an asset.
As a not-for-profit foundation entrusted with donor funds and community partnerships, the successful candidate must complete and pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
