This is a permanent, part-time (22.5 hours per week) position. The starting range for this position is $27.58-$30.13 per hour.

Main

Duties and Responsibilities:

First Aid Management

Coordinate and maintain workplace first aid resources, including first aid supplies, first aid facilities, designated first aid attendant duties, and naloxone program administration to ensure organizational readiness and compliance.

  • First Aid Supplies

Maintain inventory of first aid supplies for all UGM locations, including first aid rooms, first aid kits, AED supplies, and other first aid equipment;
Conduct regular inspections and replenish first aid supplies;
Coordinate procurement and replacement of first aid supplies and equipment as required;
Maintain accurate records for first aid supplies

  • Designated First Aid Attendant

Serve as one of the designated Occupational First Aid Attendants at the worksite and provide first aid treatment;
Maintain required first aid certification and participate in emergency response activities as required

  • Naloxone Management

Administer UGM's naloxone program by obtaining and distributing naloxone supplies;
Replace expired or used supplies;
Coordinate naloxone training, maintain training records, and monitor certification or refresher training requirements for all staff

Health & Safety Document Management

Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date health and safety documentation, records, training information, and audit materials to support regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Maintain the central repository of H&S documents, including policies, programs, safe work procedures, and forms;
Implement version control practices;
Publish revised documents after approval;
Ensure documents meet formatting standards and are stored consistently across systems

  • Records Management & Tracking

Maintain accurate records of training attendance, certifications, orientations, inspections, preventive maintenance logs, investigations, and corrective actions;
Ensure all records are retained according to organizational retention schedules.

  • Audit Documentation Support

Prepare and maintain audit-related files, including COR audit evidence, program evaluations, meeting minutes, hazard assessments, safety committee documentation, and incident records;
Support digital and physical file organization during internal and external audits.

  • Communication & Distribution

Ensure bulletin boards, SharePoint Hub sites, and internal communication platforms contain current health and safety materials

  • Support to the Health & Safety Manager

Provide administrative support for safety meetings, training sessions, and JHSC activities (e.g., agenda reminder, minute taking, attendance tracking, compiling action items).
