  • Assist the Office of Research Services with organizational and administrative tasks
  • Update and migrate the ORS website to SharePoint by editing existing content and writing new content
  • Confirm and correct information in TRIUMF's agreements database
  • Confirm and correct information in TRIUMF's funding applications database
  • Cross-reference digital records across online platforms such as SharePoint and Docu Share
  • Ensure all agreements and funding applications are saved to TRIUMF's Docu Share content management system
  • Gain understanding of research administration in academic research
  • Learn about legal agreements and contracts used in research
  • Learn about patent filing and approval processes
  • Gain experience in survey development
Requirements
  • Open to post-secondary students from any field of study
  • Undergraduate student status in an accredited post-secondary institution, or qualifying foreign student status with valid Canadian work authorization/study permit or International Experience Canada work permit pathway
  • Canadian undergraduate students or Canadian Permanent Resident undergraduate students must be enrolled in a qualifying program leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate
  • Foreign full-time undergraduate students must be enrolled at a designated learning institution in a qualifying program of at least six months, hold a valid Canadian study permit allowing off-campus employment, and have applied for a Social Insurance Number
  • Foreign undergraduate students studying abroad must have accepted or be in the process of accepting an Invitation to Apply for a work permit under the IEC program
  • Organizational skills and a systematic approach to work
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to process information with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement in record-keeping systems
  • Excellent written communication skills
