About Our Vancouver Office

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains, Teck’s Corporate Office sits in one of Canada’s most culturally diverse cities.

Target Audience

We are specifically targeting students who have a background in Arts, Sciences, or Business Administration. Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary institution for the full duration of the co‑op term and plan to return to their studies upon completion for at least one academic term. If you are not currently located near the work location, you must be willing to commute or temporarily relocate for the duration of the term.

A valid work permit will be required where applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Support team communications planning processes such as upkeep of the content calendar and development of engagement plans
  • Coordinate and support engagement events that foster connection and belonging
  • Develop and share creative communications to collaborators and the business on progress and learning opportunities
  • Assist with research and implementation of innovative ideas to improve the way we engage stakeholders and deploy our strategy
  • Develop research and reports to help guide our equity, diversity and inclusion and engagement strategy
  • Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across the business
Additional Projects
  • Develop materials for EDI Committee and Inclusion Network support model
  • Develop employee‑facing SharePoint intranet site to centralize EDI education, resources, and learning materials
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Arts, Sciences, or Business Administration
  • Motivated self‑starter; able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of professionalism
  • Commitment to fostering respectful and inclusive workplaces
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with project management and coordination, planning and executing events
  • Experience with visual communications would be an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
Pay Range

CAD $4,100 - $5,200. The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
