We’re a B-Corp certified full-service marketing agency based in Vancouver, Canada. We run ROI-driven campaigns for clients across North America, specializing in PPC, SEO, branding, web design, and full-scale content production from our in-house studio. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to strengthen client relationships, coordinate projects, and help drive new business opportunities.

Role Overview

As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring projects move smoothly from concept to delivery. Working closely with the Creative Director and internal teams, you’ll manage client communications, oversee project timelines, and support the growth of existing and new accounts. This role requires a blend of client management, project coordination, and business development skills — ideal for someone who’s organized, proactive, and thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Account Management
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing guidance and reassurance throughout project life cycles.
  • Participate in initial client meetings and discovery sessions alongside the Creative Director.
  • Prepare and deliver client proposals, contracts, and reports.
  • Manage invoicing, monitor client payments, and handle freelance staff invoicing.
  • Ensure client expectations align with project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Project Management
  • Oversee all project timelines and ensure deadlines are met without conflicts or delays.
  • Set up and manage projects in Asana, maintaining clarity and accountability for all deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal creative teams and the Creative Director to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Collect and organize client assets required for project initiation.
  • Monitor workload and resource allocation to maximize efficiency across active projects.
Sales & Business Development
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to create a sales strategy and growth roadmap.
  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach.
  • Represent Setsail at social, networking, and industry events to expand brand visibility.
  • Schedule and lead discovery sessions with potential clients to understand needs and propose solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in account management or project management (preferably in a creative, marketing, or digital agency environment).
  • Exceptionally strong English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Understanding of web design, development, and creative production workflows.
  • Business acumen, including budgeting, invoicing, and proposal preparation.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Bonus Skills
  • Proven experience managing SEO and PPC projects, with a solid understanding of campaign objectives, timelines, and performance metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and PPC concepts, workflows, and reporting practices.
  • Hands‑on experience collaborating with technical and performance marketing teams to ensure creative strategies align with measurable results.
