National Expansion & Territory Manager About Del Gate Logistics
Del Gate Logistics is one of Canada’s fastest-growing tech-enabled 3PL providers, specializing in big & bulky warehousing, white-glove delivery, cross-docking, transloading, and nationwide distribution.
With active operations in Vancouver, Toronto, and growing markets, and powered by our proprietary WMS & DMS platform (“It’s Here”), Del Gate is aggressively expanding into major Canadian cities.
We are opening new locations in Canada and we are looking for a senior expansion leader to own that growth and be a part of our family.
Position OverviewThe National Expansion & Territory Manager will be fully responsible for launching and operationalizing new Del Gate locations across Canada.
This role owns expansion from A to Z:
- Market strategy
- Warehouse acquisition
- Facility setup (physical & operational)
- Equipment procurement
- Technology deployment
- Local 3PL partnerships
- Volume development
- Major account closures
This is a highly strategic and hands‑on leadership role. The successful candidate will act as Del Gate’s launch executive in each new market.
Core Responsibilities- Develop a 3 years city‑by‑city expansion plans aligned with executive vision
- Conduct market feasibility analysis (demand, competition, pricing, labor availability)
- Identify ideal warehouse locations based on operational and commercial strategy
- Build revenue and volume projections for each territory
- Create structured launch timelines and execution roadmaps
- Source and negotiate warehouse leases or facility acquisitions
- Oversee layout planning, racking design, and workflow optimization
- Manage procurement of:
- Forklifts & material handling equipment
- Racking systems
- Security systems
- IT infrastructure
- Office build‑out & furniture
- Dock equipment
- Ensure full operational readiness before launch
- Hire or coordinate local operational leadership where required
- Establish strategic relationships with other 3PLs in major cities
- Build load‑sharing and volume exchange agreements
- Create reciprocal partnerships for overflow capacity
- Negotiate service agreements, margins, and SLAs
- Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate growth
- Develop a scalable national logistics network
- Collaborate closely with Sales Manager and sales team
- Support strategic account acquisition
- Participate in high-level sales meetings
- Structure complex multi‑location deals
- Close enterprise‑level contracts in new territories
- Develop long‑term territory revenue strategies
- Oversee the overall financial performance of each new location during launch
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, and IT to ensure smooth setup and execution
- Track profitability, pricing, and service quality
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership
- Build a repeatable launch process that can be used for future city expansions
