Innovative Food Brands (IFB) is an independently owned company that currently oversees management and franchising of The Chopped Leaf. Our purpose is to create and provide an enjoyable food experience, incorporating our WOW philosophy and Core Values.
Currently we are looking for a new Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) to join our growing team in the British Columbia region! Reporting to the Director of Operations, the FBC will provide counsel and assistance to the franchisees to positively impact and improve sales, profits, and operating standards, while providing exception customer experience. Additional various duties include:
Additional various duties include:- Reviews and analyzes franchise restaurant financials and business information and works collaboratively with Franchisee and Managers to improve overall results in these areas while ensuring that the restaurant meet business and operating standards and guidelines.
- Primary communication link between IFB and the Franchisee and Managers within their district.
- Reviews all restaurant operating reports and audits, analyzes the information and determines appropriate solutions in collaboration with Franchisee and Managers.
- Coach Franchisees and Managers for audit and Mystery Shop readiness (i.e., compliance, safety).
- Conducts regular financial (P&L, Balance Sheet) reviews with franchisee to provide financial management coaching.
- Ensures all new initiatives (i.e., product launches, technology initiatives, process improvements, marketing and promotional programs) are well implemented to support sales growth.
- Assists the Training Leader at new store openings and store resales.
- Acts as an IFB Brand/Business Ambassador.
- Other duties as assigned.
The successful application will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Qualifications- Post‑secondary education in related field (business, hospitality, etc.)
- 3+ years’ operational experience with P&L responsibility, preferably multi‑unit experience in a national franchisee model
- Strong business and financial acumen and business development capabilities
- Ability to analyze and interpret information, identify issues and their causes, and use good judgment in making decisions to resolve issues
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Customer focused attitude
- Demonstrated ability to establish cross‑functional, collaborative relationships
- Assertive, well organized, highly motivated self‑starter; able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple projects
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel within the region and flexibility with schedule to accommodate operational needs which could include evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and driving record within provincial guidelines
- Ability to travel within Canada and meet federal travel restrictions/guidelines
