Position Overview
Inventory Manager/Analyst to support inventory strategy and performance across multiple dealerships. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for driving data-informed inventory decisions, optimizing supply, and supporting dealership leadership with strategic ordering and configuration planning.
The position plays a key role in improving inventory turn, reducing aging, and aligning inventory with market demand through analytics, forecasting, and cross-store collaboration.
The expected pay for this position is $80,000- $100,000 annually.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement inventory mix and ordering recommendations based on sales trends and market demand.
- Oversee allocation management to ensure optimal distribution of inventory across stores.
- Identify and coordinate dealer trades and shared inventory opportunities to improve availability and reduce aging units.
- Perform market day supply analysis to support inventory balancing and turn performance.
- Track and report on RDR and VMP performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor CPO performance and aging inventory, recommending pricing or disposition strategies.
- Lead van and specialty inventory strategy to align with business needs and demand.
- Develop forecasting models and inventory reporting to support decision-making at the store and regional level.
- Partner with dealership leadership to support build configurations and factory ordering decisions.
- Continually improve inventory processes and reporting accuracy across all locations.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory management, automotive operations, or data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, reporting, and data interpretation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with DMS or inventory systems.
- Solid understanding of automotive inventory lifecycle and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to support multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license (if required).
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
