Job Description
Duties

Speech writing and experience writing for senior leaders.

Developing earned media strategies and products, and coordinating and executing a variety of media announcements and events.

Providing support for enquiries from media, including acting as a spokesperson (ability to speak publicly in a language besides English is an asset).

Creating, managing, editing and implementing communications strategies and products for corporate initiatives and issues.

Acting as the lead and central point of contact for specific business areas and issues files.

Liaising with other groups within the organization to ensure consistent messaging and communications strategy.

Monitoring current events and industry news, anticipating potential impacts.

Qualifications

At least five years of related experience, ideally in corporate communications, public relations or journalism.

Post‑secondary degree/diploma in communications or a related field.

Exceptional writing skills and ability to break down complex information into content that is engaging and easy to understand.

Ability to work under pressure and excel in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

Experience advising others, including senior leaders, on media strategy and issues management.

Comfortable dealing with sensitive material.

Strong organizational and research skills.

Additional Information

Please note a condition of employment for this role is to maintain your Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.

Knowledge of a second language would be considered an asset.
