Business Development Manager
What You’ll Do
- Drive new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and strategic engagement
- Build and manage relationships with HR leaders, executives (CFOs/CEOs), and industry partners
- Qualify inbound leads and convert them into high-value opportunities
- Lead RFP responses and finalist presentations in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Apply a consultative approach to position our health and benefits solutions
- Develop partnerships with benefits advisors, consultants, and TPAs
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets through disciplined pipeline management
- Negotiate and close agreements while fostering long-term client relationships
- Maintain accurate forecasts and continuously refine prospecting strategies
- Partner with Implementation and Account Management Teams for seamless onboarding
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health, or Technology (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or consulting
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
- Expertise in consultative or solution-based selling
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Knowledge of the Canadian group benefits, insurance, or health tech landscape
- Experience working with brokers, advisors, or consultants is a strong asset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Strong comfort with CRM tools and sales technology
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
