Indigenous Relations Specialist in BC - Stantec

Enhance Stantec's impact as an Indigenous Relations Specialist, working to build strong engagements with Indigenous communities across British Columbia. Facilitate partnerships that foster collaboration and mutual understanding.
In this significant role, you will report to the Vice President of Indigenous Business and Relations and guide Stantec's approach to Indigenous community engagement. Your efforts will include managing local collaborations, supporting Indigenous staff initiatives, and developing plans for sustainable business relationships. Engage proactively with various stakeholders to align on shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster relationships with Indigenous leadership in BC

• Coordinate Indigenous community engagement plans

• Support internal initiatives for improving Indigenous recruitment

• Identify business development opportunities with Indigenous groups

• Actively represent Stantec at relevant industry forums
Requirements:

• Knowledge of Indigenous context in British Columbia

• 8+ years of experience in related roles

• Demonstrated experience in program development

• Strong written and communication skills

• High integrity and personal accountability
